Line Kit specs
Setup notes and briefing numbers for Line Kit.
Line widths and bay clearances
The Line Kit specs page sets out the measurements, components and line requirements behind the main layout. It gives plant teams a straightforward reference for checking fit and coordination on site.
Line Kit specs set out stripe widths, turning space and offsets from machines, racks and pedestrian edges. Measurements matter more on active South African plant sites where forklifts, pallet jacks and washdown routines place constant strain on marked lanes. Durban humidity, Highveld dust and frequent cleaning all affect the choice of coating, curing window and visibility standard.
This page also lists the pieces behind the layout, including primer, marking coats, reflectance colours and junction symbols. Before work starts, teams check the slab condition, previous paint build-up, drain positions and door thresholds so the final set-out matches what is physically on site. A recorded bay number or area code keeps maintenance and shutdown planning tidy.
Included in the specification pack
Expect dimensions for straight runs, corner radii, stop zones and exclusion areas around equipment. The pack notes where line breaks are used, which markings require anti-slip finish, and how service aisles stay readable during production and cleaning cycles. It is written as a site reference, not a design exercise.
Use this sheet with the matching layout record and site measurements before ordering material or booking a shutdown window. Check colour codes, metre totals and access restrictions against the plant file, then send any missing details through the contact form. One current photo of the marked area helps when existing paint, traffic wear or patched concrete may affect the spec.

Site conditions that alter the spec
A line schedule for Ekurhuleni distribution space will not read the same as one for a Durban process plant or a Cape Town packing site. Older concrete, patched slabs, expansion joints and heavy wheel traffic all change how markings are detailed and where breaks or reinforcement are needed. The spec must reflect what stays fixed, what can be shifted and what must remain accessible during operation.
Coastal moisture can lengthen preparation requirements and influence product selection near wash bays or loading doors. Inland dust reduces contrast over time, so visibility checks and cleaning intervals need to be noted alongside the layout itself. Where load-shedding affects plant routines, inspection and application windows should be written into the planning notes.

Information needed for set-out
Send bay dimensions, traffic type, slab condition and any non-negotiable machine positions. Include failed markings, peeling areas or zones where water, oil or heat regularly affect the surface.

Keep the measurement sheet, area photos and revision notes together for procurement and shutdown planning. When buyers or site managers need a clear record, this page works best alongside the project note and resource sheet.
